Crufts winner dies at 15
Crufts BIS Winner of 1996, Sh Ch Canigou Cambrai (Albert), BIS at Crufts in 1996, has died aged 15 years and nine months.
Owned by Tricia Bentley, ‘Albert’ was a son of Sh Ch Cleavehill Pot of Gold ex Crankwood Miss Happy (dam of four show champions). Throughout his career he was winner of 28 CCs, 20 BOBs, 12 RCCs, three gundog groups and BIS at both Crufts and WELKS in 1996.
Owner Tricia Bentley writes: “Albert was a great showman and when Harry Jordan attracted his attention in the BIS ring at Crufts I’m convinced Albert looked up and smiled at him! A much-loved family pet, he was a delight to live with and the settee seems very empty without him.”
