Poodle savaged to death

A FAMILY were left in shock after returning home to find their pet poodle mauled to death in the back garden of their Birmingham home.

They said Gizmo, an apricot-coloured toy poodle had been savaged by two Staffordshire Bull Terrier crosses who jumped over the back fence of the Harborne home and attacked him.
It is understood the dogs, which Gizmo's owner Carole Bishop said belonged to a neighbour, were destroyed soon after the attack last week. The owners of the accused dogs were not at home to make comment when a local new reporter called at their house.
