Dogs take centre stage in UK toydog championship show

The UK Toydog Society will be holding its annual prestigious Championship Dog Show for all Toy dog breeds at the New Bingley Hall, County Showground, Stafford on Saturday 29th March 2008. Top dogs from the local area will go head to head against other leading dogs from the length and breadth of the country and beyond, to win a Champion title.

This year the show has attracted a bumper entry of 2,300 dogs, all competing for the highly coveted ‘Best in Show’ award. The successful winners will qualify to compete at the greatest and largest dog show in the world, Crufts, held annually at the NEC, Birmingham.

There will be plenty to entertain the general public from watching the judges make their difficult decisions, to seeing the champion dogs first hand. Visitors are warmly welcomed, and will enjoy browsing the trade stands at the show which sell a variety of gifts for dogs and people alike!
A Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Ring will also be set up to offer competitors the opportunity to take part and achieve their Bronze Award Certificate. More information on this scheme and other Kennel Club initiatives can be found at www.thekennelclub.org.uk
