Breeder of the Year Competition, Ireland
OUR DOGS and SHOW DOGS IRELAND are delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal for the Breeder of the Year Competition in Ireland which will bring further recognition of the sport in Ireland and especially also focus on an area of the show scene in Ireland which is an integral part of the hobby.
The Breeder of the Year Competition will highlight the excellence of breeders who consistently produce dogs of high quality in their chosen breeds and who are successful at the highest level in the Irish show ring. The competition has already had a successful introduction in its inaugural year and has caught the attention of the exhibitors and breeders who have welcomed it across the board.
The competition will now be generously sponsored by OUR DOGS in association with Birdbrook Rosettes and will be featured monthly in the OUR DOGS Canine Newspaper bringing it to an even wider readership and giving it an increased awareness, the result of which can only mean better coverage for the successful breeders and exhibitors in Ireland and in the Irish show ring in general. The competition also recognizes breeders based in the UK, current standings as they are released are bound to be followed closely on that side of the Irish Sea also.
Show Dogs Ireland Magazine Editor Paul Scanlon said “We are delighted that Our Dogs has become involved in sponsoring the Breeder of the Year Competition, as without doubt they have always had a special relationship with the Irish exhibitor almost being in the realm of ‘honorary Irish’. This new deal will cement that special relationship with the exhibitor and the Show Scene in Ireland. The increased in depth Irish show coverage which has been evident in OUR DOGS of late shows the commitment by the Our Dogs team to bring the best weekly publication coverage of the Irish scene to the fore and Show Dogs Ireland are delighted to be a part of that team.”
Vince Hogan, Managing Director of OUR DOGS, said, “both OUR DOGS and our fellow sponsors BIRDBROOK ROSETTES are delighted to continue and enhance our relationship with the Irish dog show scene which has existed for very many years. We know that Irish breeders are as dedicated as anyone else in the world and with the European Show on the horizon, what better time to showcase the best bred Irish dogs.”
Vince went on to say “OUR DOGS already has a deep commitment to all things Irish in the show world and is pleased to have this opportunity to work with Show Dogs Ireland in bringing this competition to readers of both magazines in a professional manner. We know many of our readers already show on a regular basis in Ireland and vice versa, so this is another way to encourage the dog game on both sides of the Irish Sea .”
OUR DOGS and BIRDBROOK ROSETTES look forward to presenting trophies, rosettes and special winners sashes after the final results have been announced.
The regular updated current standings tables will be available for viewing through both the SHOW DOGS IRELAND and OUR DOGS Online and In Print after each All Breed Championship show held under Irish Kennel Club rules.
OUR DOGS is available at most championship shows in Ireland on the Show Dogs Ireland stand, and of course SHOW DOGS IRELAND is on sale from the OUR DOGS stand in the UK and around Europe.
