Dogs under attack on the BBC again

DOGS CAME under attack once again in the media last week, after BBC1’s, The One Show, carried a story concerning the alleged rise in dog attacks.

The story centred around an attack on a two-year-old in London a few weeks ago, by a ‘pit bull’ type dog. Sadly, the programme makers illustrated the entire piece with images and film of what were clearly Staffordshire Bull terriers.

Described throughout the programme as Pit Bulls, the production will no doubt further cement the public’s psyche into thinking that all Staffords are illegal ‘pit bulls’.

The programmes website soon filled with comments for and against the new piece, and Our Dogs will bring you more news of this when we have it.
