Leicester Square, London: The Royal and world premier of Quantum of Solace was held in aid of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and the Help for Heroes Campaign.

Amongst the VIP guests were a party of 100 'serving' and 'injured ex-serving' military personnel who were specially invited to meet the cast of the latest James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace and the Princes William and Harry. Positioned on the red carpet the group met and mingled with all the cast of the latest film and spent over an hour with Princes William and Harry. The group included Royal Navy Gulf War veteran, Allen Parton and his wife Sandra.

'I was delighted to be one of the faces of the incredibly successful 2007 poppy appeal' said Allen 'and the invitation was by way of a 'thank you' from the British legion, not only to myself but to my wife Sandra as well, for our contribution to the campaign. Being a true bond fan, it really was that bit more special for me and the cast spent absolutely ages talking to our group. We all had an opportunity to have our pictures taken with our favorites.

The evening events raised over £500,000 for the nominated charities, which is absolutely brilliant - the icing on the cake!
