Ring stewarding seminar

The Birmingham Dog Show Society is holding a Ring Stewarding Seminar at the Kennel Club Building (Meeting Room), at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire on Saturday 31st January 2009.

The speakers at the seminar will include Gerald King, Crufts Chief Steward, and Annette Oliver-Wyles, the National Dog Show Chief Steward, and will run from 11am to approximately 2pm.

Annette Oliver-Wyles said: ‘We appreciate the enormous contributions made by the ring stewards to the management of all shows and acknowledge we cannot run the shows without them. The seminar provides a chance for experienced and novice stewards to ask questions and ‘brush up’ on various aspects of the steward’s role including the Breeders Stakes, and Single CCs.’

There are limited places available, so to book a place at the seminar please write to Annette Oliver-Wyles, Chief Steward, National Dog Show, Whilton Marina, Whilton Locks, Nr Daventry NN11 2NH. Please include the number of tickets that you would like to reserve.

The cost of the seminar is £2 per person, payable on arrival, to include tea/coffee and biscuits. Tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis. For further information please contact Annette Oliver-Wyles on 07866 473510.
