Benson needs your help
A ROTTWEILER was found abandoned and close to death after months of cruelty.
Benson was found in a field in Salford, Masnchester and was in an ‘appalling condition’.
Jay Browne, of Animals in Distress said: "I have been working here two years and it is the worst case of neglect I have seen. Benson was hardly recognisable as a breed. He was severely underweight, had no fur, and scabby skin. His paws are shredded which suggests he has been locked in somewhere and trying to escape. It will take many weeks to restore him to health. We are feeding him a bit every two hours to build him up."
The charity, which has existed for 40 years, and is based in Irlam in Manchester relies on public donations and vets bill alone cost about £2,000 a month. Jay said: "All donations would be greatly appreciated.’ 0161 775 2221
