Dogs will benefit from foundation

PROFITS FROM Nice's Hotel Negresco, the French Riviera home to the rich and famous including the ill-fated Isadora Duncan, will ultimately benefit abandoned animals after the 80-year-old owner Madame Jeanne Augier set up a trust which will be activated upon her death.

She also has decreed that the hotel must be continued to be run to the high standards she has set over the years and that no staff are to lose their jobs.
