Seventy-five years of Maltese welfare

ON SUNDAY 19th June the Maltese Club held their annual Fun Day, celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the formation of the club.

The show helps to raise funds for the Welfare and Rehoming of Maltese in need. Unfortunately the weather was not the best with lots of heavy showers interspersed with some sunshine.
Despite this there was a good turn out of Maltese lovers to enjoy the BBQ, fancy dress competition, tombola, bring & buy and various other activities. After a brief history of the Club delivered by the President Mrs Lewin all were welcomed with a glass of Bucks Fizz and a slice of celebration cake to mark the anniversary.

The highlight of the day was a flypast by the Red Arrows acrobatic team, which was arranged by Carol Hemsley, Secretary of the Maltese Club. Precisely at the arranged time the Arrows flew overhead at Baginton Village Hall where the event was being held, to the great delight and excitement of those attending the Fun Day.

The day ended with everyone going home with a 'goodie' bag full of items supplied by many companies who kindly supported the day, for which the Club is very grateful.
