IN OUR July 17th issue, we reported on concerns raised by a UK Rottweiler rescue regarding rescue dogs being sent to the UK from Ireland for rehoming.

We would like to point out that claims which connected the story to Irish Retriever Rescue were unsubstantiated and we apologise unreservedly for any upset or embarrassment to the founder and members of this Rescue, which continues to secure good homes for unwanted dogs across Ireland.
