Missing Bernese bitch

Heidi has been missing since Tuesday 11th August

A SIX-YEAR-OLD Bernese Mountain Dog has been missing from the Saltney Ferry area near Chester since Tuesday 11th August.

‘Heidi’ escaped from her owner’s garden in the evening after gunfire in adjacent fields spooked her and she broke through the fence. There have been no sightings since.

The missing bitch has been spayed and has broad white classic markings. She is described as slightly overweight but in good condition and healthy. Her coat has been clipped short to about 1 inch all over and she is not wearing a collar but is microchipped. Heidi is very timid of strangers and not likely to approach anyone.

‘Please, will everyone do all you can to put word out that Heidi is still missing - she could be anywhere by now, so tell everyone you know regardless of their location,’ said Jude Simonds of Bernese Welfare UK.

Any sightings should be reported to her owner Sam Mason on 01244 629179 or mobile 07973 285169. If you cannot reach the owner please contact Jude at Bernese Welfare UK on 01787 371940 instead.
