Dog walker attacked by armed gang

A STAFFORDSHIRE Bull Terrier has undergone emergency surgery after being attacked by an armed gang as he was walked by his owner through the streets of Dundee.

The male victim was assaulted by a group of four men who had armed themselves with weapons. He suffered a minor injury in the attack and is reported to have said he had been “very shaken”.
However, his dog had to undergo emergency surgery at a local vet after suffering a serious injury. The incident happened at about noon last Saturday.

It is believed the men responsible fled before getting into a small silver car which was seen driving erratically in the area around the time of the attack.

Tayside Police appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
