Win a family day out at the East Anglian Game & Country Fair
10 tickets worth £30 each to give away!

OUR DOGS is pleased to announce that it has East Anglian Game & Country Fair to give away to 10 lucky readers.

The 2009 fair will be coming to the Norfolk Showground in Norwich on 25th and 26th April.

Organisers have described the two-day show as ‘the perfect day’with ‘world class events and attractions in an action-packed weekend.’

What more could a family want? There are over 40 show events planned for the public to enjoy and take part in, many of which have doggy themes, including: Terrier and Lurchers Show, Gundog Scurry, Dancing Dogs with Willow Kelly, Pet Dog Show, Hound Parade, Dog Agility and, for the first time, the HM Prison Norwich drugs dogs will be doing displays to demonstrate the great work they do in the community.

Another canine competition also featured at the fair is ‘Dock Dogs’ - this increasingly popular pastime sees the handler throw a ball or a toy for the dog who then races along a dock or jetty and leaps into a pool. The longest jump wins!

There is also plenty of animal-free fun to be had at Norfolk Showground.

For the more adventurous there will be the opportunity to take part in some 4x4 off-roading, MBS mountain boarding, helicopter pleasure flights or a clay shoot competition, whilst for those who prefer the role of spectator there will be the Tigers freefall parachute team, the Scottish Pipers playing and marching, the Axemen display team plus cookery demonstrations by well-known faces such as Chris Coubrough of ITV’s Coastal Kitchens fame and John Kenny, winner of ITV’s Britain’s Best Dish.

Extra activities for the children include wall-climbing, bungee trampolines, slides and simulators, so there is certainly something for everyone!

All of these activities amount to a very exhausting weekend, but nonetheless a very exciting and fun-filled one for the whole family to enjoy!

In addition, there will be over 300 quality trade stands for visitors to cast their eyes over on both days. Furthermore the Norfolk Showground boasts free parking and disabled facilities. Gates open at 9am.
