First reaction to KC breed changes
FOLLOWING THE Kennel Club’s announcement last week concerning changes to over
200 breed standards, the RSPCA’s chief veterinary advisor, Mark Evans,

Pedigree Dogs Exposed up for award!
In a bizarre twist to the long running saga of the BBC programme Pedigree Dogs Exposed, the much criticised documentary is up for a TV award at a forthcoming industry ceremony.
The Broadcast Awards take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane London on
January 21st and will be hosted by TV celebrity Rob Brydon...

Cavalier Club divided over resignations
The Cavalier Club has received a lot of attention since the Pedigree Dogs Exposed programme was aired. The programme caused a rift between a number of members and Mrs Margaret Carter who,
as a committee member, was acclaimed by the Pedigree Dogs Exposed programme makers
Passionate Productions to have been a concerned breeder, and whistle blower on
what was going on in the breed. As a result a Special General Meeting was held and a
vote was taken to remove Mrs Carter from the committee...

KC’s database upgraded
THE KENNEL Club’s new Health Database was upgraded again over Christmas.
Breeders expressed concern when typing in their dogs’ names to find the wrong parents
were shown. As part of the ongoing development this is now corrected and
where dogs have the same or similar names over a number of breeds anyone
searching for a particular dog can click onto the breed to get the right dog...
