Burns suppers for unloved animals

BurnsTHE SCOTTISH SPCA is delighted to announce a new partnership with Burns Pet Nutrition Limited which will help the charity provide a wholesome diet to hundreds of Scotland’s unwanted and abandoned animals.

The partnership, which will be launched on the day Scotland celebrates its national bard, Rabbie Burns, will see Burns Pet Nutrition donate more than £50,000 worth of pet food to the animal welfare charity, which is enough to feed 250 20kg dogs for a whole year.

It will also provide the Scottish SPCA with a significant discount off the recommended retail price of the feed throughout the terms of the agreement.

Corporate Partnership Executive Sarah-Jane Friedman said: ‘We are extremely pleased to have formed a new partnership with Burns Pet Nutrition and we are looking forward to enjoying a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the pet food specialist.

‘The cost of feeding more than 12,000 unwanted and unloved animals every year is significant so this food, along with the vital donations we receive from our supporters, is much needed and gratefully received.’

John Burns, Director of Burns Pet Nutrition said: ‘Burns Pet Nutrition is delighted to support the work of the Scottish SPCA because animal welfare is our highest priority.
‘This partnership will provide the finest nutrition to complement the quality of care given by the Scottish SPCA.’

Anyone interested in rehoming an animal or wishing to donate to or join the Scottish SPCA can visit or telephone 03000 999 999.
