No award for ‘expose’ film

There was no victory for the BBC film Pedigree Dogs Exposed at last week’s Broadcast Awards ceremony at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.

The controversial film made by Jemima Harrison had been nominated under the category Best Documentary Programme but it failed to win, with the category being taken by a programme called My Street based on a set of neighbours in a street in London.

Many people had expressed surprise that the film had even been nominated in the first instance, and especially so with an official complaint still being investigated by Ofcom, the industry watchdog.

OUR DOGS contacted Passionate Productions for a comment but at the time of going to press they had not responded.
