The entries closing date for the City of Birmingham Show is creeping ever closer…by post the date is July 13th and online via Higham Press the date is July 23rd.

Elsewhere in this issue Secretary Keith Young has informed readers of some judging changes for Danes, Cesky terriers, Vizlas and Cavalier bitches.

Keith also reminds us all that there will be a series of veterinary talks in the new KC building on site by OUR DOGS correspondent Sue Paterson, and that there will be seven breed club open shows running over the three days, also in the KC building.

In an effort to encourage visitors and to help exhibitors there will be no charge for car parking or admission to the show which in future years hopes to boast a number of other attractions for the dog loving visitor.

Best in show judge this year is Scotland’s own Albert Wight and we have overseas group judges in the shape of Hans Lehtinen and Carla Molinari.

UK group judges include Sue McCourt, Kathy Gorman, Ken Sinclair Derek Smith and Terry Nethercott who is also judging in Sintra, Portugal, in July.

OUR DOGS looks forward to a busy three days at the NAC in September!
