IT IS with great sadness that we have to report the passing of Ch Norwulf Going for Gold of Slatehouse at 14-years.
Kane amassed 16 CCs and 9 RCCs, he was top GSD in 1997, '98 & '99. He won RBIS at the National and Darlington, BOSIS at LKA, nine group wins including the first Pastoral group at Manchester and 21 other group placings; he was also a pedigree finalist on three occasions and a runner-up at the Contest of Champions in 2000. Furthermore he is the top group winning GSD of all time and was used at limited stud producing two champions, bred by the late Margaret Baron.
Kane proved to be a very controversial dog as he divided opinion within breed and all-rounder circles being a very 'middle of the road' type. He was a true showman, a great ambassador for the breed and above all a joy to live with, he has left a void that will be difficult to fill, but he had a lasting impression on so many.
