The CKCS Clubs Liaison Meeting was held on 24 May, where representatives from all the UK CKCS Clubs were in attendance.
It was agreed by all those present that the Kennel Club ‘Code of Ethics’ is specific and mandatory and therefore, the Regional Clubs agreed their Breeding Guidelines will now include the
Specialists recommendations for Syringomyelia (SM), Hearts (MVD) and Eyes and the CKCS Club will re-present this proposal to their members at the earliest opportunity
It was felt that the membership of all the Clubs are showing an increased enthusiasm to arrange mini scans for their dogs and it is estimated that in 2009 more Cavaliers will be MRI scanned and Heart screened than in any previous year.
