Art on the Web

Looking for the best in canine art? We recommend you log onto the official website of John Silver, one of the World’s leading Canine artists.

Here you can view and purchase Limited Edition Prints of dogs of many different breeds, though John does tend to specialise in working dogs and gundogs. All the prints are signed and numbered personally by him and they are printed on high quality Fine Art paper (100% Cotton Rag, acid free. 310gsm), using the latest light fast permanent inks.

John is also available for commissions and the details of these are also on the website. Commissions can be produced either with traditional oils on canvas or acrylics to any size required. He is also able to do these from your own photos, which can either be posted or emailed (preferred) to him at:

Payments for purchases are totally secure and easily made using Paypal, even if you do not have a Paypal account! Print purchases are usually posted within one working day depending on the time the order is placed.

On the site you will not only find canine art, but also equestrian, figurative, fantasy and landscape art. Not many people realise that he is also proficient in these art categories!

The website also contains a biography section where you can find out which materials he uses and where he gets his inspiration.

John Silver has been a professional artist for nearly 30 years and his work commands great respect within the industry. Winning the “Best new artist” award from the Fine Art Trade Guild was a very proud moment for him. He is also the ONLY living artist to have work permanently hanging in the prestigious gallery of the Kennel Club in London. As a result, he is already “in the history books”!

The website is managed and run by John and his wife Lesley. As a result, the website has become a “family” run business and therefore has that “personal” touch, so often lacking in businesses today.
