Caernarfon success

After a difficult period which saw the loss of their February show the committee of Caernarfon Canine Society welcomed back their Show Secretary Irene Levisohn and were able, at short notice, to organise their November show.

Despite the fact that schedules were only available three weeks prior to the closing date for entries the show still attracted an entry of 157 dogs. The show was well run and during the lunch break the exhibitors were treated to a Heelwork To Music display by Miss E C High with her Papillon dog Herumen Mountain Imp. The ever popular Junior Handling classes were judged by OUR DOGS’ Kim Lathaen who found her winners in Teigan Harp, age 6, handling the Minitaure Wire Haired Daschund in the under 10 years class and Hannah Pearson, age 10, handling the Sheltie in the 10 to 15 years class.

The BIS judge was Mr B Makepeace (Lynaire) and he was blessed with a high quality of dogs challenging. After much deliberation he awarded the BIS to the 4 year old Akita dog Bluevine Totally Focused owned and exhibited by Mrs T Morris from Kinmel Bay. RBIS was awarded to the 3 year old St. Bernard dog Bernegarden’s Ocean Breeze owned and exhibited by Mrs B Swaine Williams from Anglesey. Mr Makepeace then went on to judge BPIS which he awarded to the 10 month old Soft Coat Wheaten Terrier bitch Pippajam Midnight Rose owned by Mr & Mrs P & M Noyes and exhibited by Dr P Noble. RBPIS was awarded to the 7 month old Japanese Shiba Inu bitch Bearpark Bosom Buddie owned by Mesdames A & T Morris and exhibited by Miss K Venton.
The committee would like to thank all exhibitors for their support and look forward to seeing everyone at their next show on March 20th 2010. Further details can be obtained from the secretary Mrs I Levisohn
