OUR DOGS would like to apologise to judge Martin Freeman and all group winners for the omission in last week’s issue of his Bournemouth Utility group report.

It is always a great pleasure to judge at this show, held in the New Forest. I thank the Officers and Committee for their kind invitation.

I pulled out eight for further consideration, they were: Akita, Bulldog, Japanese Shiba Inu, Keeshond, Miniature Schnauzer, Miniature Poodle, Shar Pei and Shih Tzu.

1. Ball & Bradley’s Shar Pei Am Ch Asia’s Red Marsh Whip It Good (Imp). An outstanding dog of super quality, compact, short coupled, masculine head, dark almond eye, good straight and strong front, muscular well let down hindquarters, moved round the ring very soundly with great style.

2. Gracey’s Shih Tzu Ch Denshores Giggle and a Wiggle. A lovely feminine head, good dense coat, correct tail set, excellent topline, both when stood and on the move. Flowed round the ring very soundly and smoothly with great ring presence.

3. Kitchener’s Miniature Poodle Michandy Trick or Treat. Very eye catching black dog. Lovely head and expression, dark almond eye, short backed, good front, good coat expertly presented, good rear drive, excellent topline. Moved very soundly.

4 Harding & Pringham’s Bulldog Eclair Grace. A lovely bitch, moved round the ring with great style, no sign of any health problems although it was a very hot day. Good straight front and well muscled rear quarters, assisted in her having great ring presence.
