Lynn Bailey of the Salenko Beagles is no stranger Steroid Resonsive Meningitis (SRM) in Beagles, having lost one of her own dogs to the disease.

Last year Lynn took part in the Great North Run and managed to raise a staggering £3200 for the fund which does reasearch into SRM. Lynn handed her cheque over recently yo the AHT’s Andrew Simmonds and Dr Catherine mellersh.

Lynn told our dogs: ‘I'd love to thank everyone for their kind generosity and what better way than through a highly read newspaper. The run took place in Sunderland lasy year and the final amount raised was £3200 which will go towards the research into SRMin Beagles and is being carried out by the Animal Health Trust.’
