Merseyside Boxer Club committee member Stephen McArdle and his University mate Mike Salter will be cycling the length of the UK, from Land's End to John O' Groats starting at the end of March.
Stephen told OUR DOGS: ‘We are going to be cycling from Land's End (the most southerly point in Great Britain) to John O' Groats (the most Northerly) starting on 26th March 2010 and finishing between 10-14 days later, depending on weather conditions, and our fitness! We will be carrying all our equipment with us on pannier racks, and camping each night.
‘Last summer we raised £200 for the Boxer Breed Council Health Fund by cycling 300 miles from Liverpool along the canal to Leeds, and then by road across to Hull, from coast to coast, West to East. This Easter, we want to cycle over 900 miles from South to North, and hopefully raise lots of money for our chosen charity, Cancer Research UK. As you will know, the charity is dedicated to beating cancer through research, and after much thought, we decided this would be a great cause.’
