Veterans and servicemen will benefit from more charity cash thanks to a new partnership between the Royal British Legion and one of Hampshire's biggest employers BAE Systems. Rapidly becoming a right chip of the old block... young EJ (Endal Junior ) is turning out to be a real trooper and is lending his support to such a worthy cause.
Recently he received a cheque from BAE Systems on behalf of the Royal British legion and helped launch the two year fund raising partnership between the two organisations.
Allen Parton, the Gulf War veteran who suffered severe brain injuries in the 1991 Gulf conflict, has with his family been beneficiaries and helped by the British legion, said it was such a major breakthrough "This is such a massive boost for us because we haven't had a corporate sponsor in Hampshire signing up to fundraise for a two years period before . There are so many people in desperate need of support the Legion provides in so many aspects of their lives, the numbers of those needing help being added to on as daily basis and this sort of funding will aid them directly.' said Allen "every penny raised makes such a massive difference for so many serving and ex service members of the armed forces"
Care
For those brave men and women currently serving on the front line to hear this sort of message, that folk at home do care about them, it truly is the best news and moral booster that they can get.
I am so very pleased with the ease that EJ has taken on Endal's old role of raising awareness and funds for the many service charities that we are involved with said Allen. Every day we learn another way in which we can work together as a team. There seems to be no limits to what we can achieve together!” "Together we can!"
