Vet who stole 200,000 struck off

The Disciplinary Committee of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons has struck off vet Douglas Morgan for making false pet insurance claims amounting to 200,000. The four insurance companies involved were Direct Line, Pet Plan, Pet Protect and Sainsbury. Mr Morgan came to this country from Australia in 2001...

Malamute seized after death of baby

Police have seized a family dog, after the sudden death of a six-day-old baby girl in South Wales. Officers received a call on Tuesday morning, alerting them to the incident at a property in Pontyberem, Carmarthenshire. Police seized the dog, believed to be an Alaskan Malamute, and the baby was airlifted to the University Hospital of Wales by the Welsh Ambulance service...
