Dog walker banned

Issue: 06/04/2018

A professional dog walker has been banned from working with animals for 20 years after two dogs died whilst in her care.
Helen Campbell, 59, who runs Nose2Tail-K9Care, admitted she 'lost track of time' during a business meeting and left dogs in the back of van in Glasgow on a sweltering hot day last June. Two other dogs suffered from heat stroke and it has been reported that there were at least eight dogs in the vehicle. Temperatures on that day were said to have been as high as 40C.
Campbell did not tell owners what had happened to their dogs, she would repeatedly change her story, leading to some dogs getting the wrong care from their vets.
She pled guilty to two charges under the Animal Health and Welfare Act, that is causing the dogs unnecessary suffering and failing to seek necessary veterinary treatment.
