On Saturday 21st of September Mandy Harvey (Jubliana Irish Setters) lost her final battle. She fought long and hard for over four years without complaint or seeking sympathy, and taught us all the true meaning of courage and bravery, writes Christine Morgan.
She was funny, loving, caring, beautiful and a true party girl. She loved life and knew how to live it. She adored her Irish Setters and was overjoyed when the homebred Jubliana Murphy Midnight Star, handled by her husband Ian, won his title. Her joy and excitement when at Blackpool in 2014 she handled Riverbrue Enyo at Jubliana to the bitch CC, gave us great cause for celebration; we certainly partied after that.
She loved going to dog shows and the social side of caravanning at them was right up her street. There she made so many friends from many different breeds; friends for whom she made so many happy memories. She was the centre of Ian's universe, a wonderful mother to Lauren, Chloe and Luke and the doting Nannan of Aleisha and Amelia. Her funeral will take place on Thursday 2nd November at 12:10 at Barnsley Crematorium S71 5EH. All are welcome.
In gratitude for the love and care she was given at Barnsley Hospice it is requested that donations in lieu of flowers be made to them. Farewell Mandy, until we party again.
