October 20: The British Briard Club Judges Seminar And Assessment at Bearley Village Hall, Bearley, CV37 0SR. Proposed programme: 9.30am: Welcome, tea and coffee. 10am: Elaboration of the Breed Standard by Darren Clarke. 11am: Questions and answers. 12-1pm: Lunch. 1pm: Written Test for assessment Candidates. 1.30pm: Hands on assessment followed by individual interview. 3pm: Afternoon refreshments. All Briard owners and persons interested in the breed, whether or not they intend to judge, are encouraged to attend the Seminar. Places for the Assessment are strictly limited on a first come basis. October 21: Wickford, Basildon & DCS Seminar on "Requirements Of A Dog Show Judge" and the practice of Critique Writing by Christina Chapman, KC accredited Trainer. To be held at The Grange Community Centre, Little Wheatleys Chase, Rayleigh, Essex SS6 9EH. Lunch/refreshments incl. Morning session (Req.Dog Sh Judge) 8.45 for 9am prompt start 1.30pm. Lunch 1.30-2.15pm. Afternoon session (Judges Critiques) 2.15-4.45pm. Cost First session 25.00, 15.00 for the second session, Judges Critiques. If both sessions booked, cost 35.00. October 21: Lagotto Romagnolo Assoc Judges Training at Briars Centre, Briars Avenue, Lightwater, Surrey, GU18 5UN. Starting 9.30am Trainers - Steve Dean (C&M, am). Rob Dix (Stewarding, pm). The Conformation & Movement module is part of the three Kennel Club Judges Modules and necessary knowledge for any judge of any breed and a requirement for JCF progression. This module will be the morning session starting at 9.30am. The Stewarding seminar will be in the afternoon, starting at approximately 1.30pm. Each session will cost 25 individually, or if both sessions attended, 40 per candidate (which includes a light lunch). Refreshments provided.
