Herbs for Dogs
- An extraordinary series of workshops

Do you want to play a more active role in your dog’s health and wellbeing?
An extraordinary series of workshops for dog-owners that like to be proactive has recently been launched. If you see the wisdom of promoting health and minimising the chances for injury and disease, then these workshops are just what you are looking for.
“Herbs for Dogs” workshops are aimed at dog owners interested in holistic healthcare and keeping their four-legged friends happy and healthy. These innovative workshops focus on the use of herbs to promote health, prevent disease and the first-aid treatment of minor illnesses or injuries.
Presented by Jimmy Symmonds, a veterinary surgeon based in Oxford, the 1-day workshops promise something for everyone. The Foundation Workshop is the first in the series and provides a comprehensive introduction on how herbs can prevent disease and be used as first-aid remedies to treat minor injuries and upsets. This introductory workshop looks set to be very inspiring.
Information-packed and fun-filled, the workshop promises to add a whole new dimension to your relationship with your dogs. Each workshop is structured to include informative lectures, engaging discussions and fantastic, get-your-hands-dirty practical sessions. Highlights of the day include making a herbal wound cream and a herbal digestive tonic that promotes healthy digestion.
Those that are bitten by the herb-bug can then go on to do the Advanced Course. The Advanced Course consists of a series of four workshops spread over a four-month period. Each workshop focuses on a different aspect of the health of dogs, namely the skin, mobility, digestion and immunity.
If you are serious about the health of your dogs, if you are willing to take responsibility for their wellbeing, and if you are determined to thoroughly enjoy the journey, then this program is definitely for you! No previous experience with herbs is required, just a willingness to get your hands dirty and enjoy yourself.
The first Foundation Workshop is scheduled for the 16th April 2007 in Oxford. Further workshops are planned over the coming months in various centres around the UK. For a detailed prospectus, course dates and venues contact Jimmy Symmonds or see the website:
