The wait is finally over. Points have been painstakingly collected all year and now the time that all of our eager and hardworking participants have been waiting for has arrived.

In the following pages OUR DOGS can reveal the winners of the Pedigree Masterfoods Top Breeder and Puppy competition, the Quistel/OUR DOGS Rare & Import Breeds Competition 2007 and the Pet Plan Top Sire toppers!

Top Breeder

Overall top breeder was Mrs Di Mottram (Mybeards Polish Lowland Sheepdogs) in the pastoral group with a total of 50 points for her kennel. A delighted Diane said, " I am thrilled with this achievement and would like to take this opportunity of thanking all the judges for their awards, not forgetting the owners for their dedication and support."

Top Sire

The overall winner of the Top Sire competition is Hungarian Vizsla Sh Ch & Aust Ch Hungargunn Bear It’n Mind (imp) of the Gundog Group, with an impressive 49 points. Co-owners, breeder Naomi Cragg and Kathryn Armstrong, had this to say about their win. ‘Great news as "Yogi" is a pleasure to live with and show. Ours has been a team effort and we would also like to thank the judges for the most rewarding
and tremendous two years!’

Rare and Import

Moving onto the Adults Quistel winners – Top Rare winner was Tibetan Mastiff Sierras Yogananda who is owned by Ms A Sutton and Mr T Nagrecha. The dog won by a massive 34 points. Winner of the Top Import was Bergamasco, Bautastenens Alve For Essandsee, co-owned by Mr S I Band and Ms C I McCarthy, who must be very proud of their win with 26 points in total.

Overall winner of the Top Rare Puppy this year was owned by Mr L M Smith. The Russian Black Terrier, Fernwood Diodor, won with 11 points. Also happy with their win were the owners of Retriever Nova Scotia Duck Tolling, Trevargh The Entertainer At Brizewood, pet name "Woody" who was top of the Gundog Group with 5 points. OUR DOGS spoke with his owners Mrs Harding and Mrs Whitehall who were delighted with the results: ‘especially after only six months of showing!"
