Kate and Gin

Kate and Gin

From cute puppy to star performer, this is the amazing story of an inspiring partnership that spans over six years. Together with handler Kate, 16, Gin wowed the nation with a series of breathtaking freestyle dance routines on ITV’s primetime show Britain’s Got Talent. In this practical guide Kate and Gin share their dog-training secrets that will help young handlers learn with their pet. Kate and Gin’s experiences of competing at Crufts mean this easy-to-follow step-by-step handbook is jam-packed full of advice about how to get the most from your dog and have fun at the same time.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Staffordshire Bull Terrier: An Owner’s Guide
by Alison Smith

This is the sort of book that any Stafford owner should have as a reference, but would be especially good for the first time Stafford owner or someone looking to buy a Stafford puppy. It is exactly the book I would recommend for anyone buying a puppy from me - or maybe I would even include a copy in my 'puppy pack'...

Endal

Endal
by Allen & Sandra Parton

Allen Parton and Endal are names that need absolutely
no introduction to readers of OUR DOGS.
Their remarkable story is told in ENDAL – How One Extraordinary Dog Brought a Family Back from the Brink. This heart-warming book tells how a puppy who had nearly failed training as an assistance dog on health grounds came to be voted ‘Dog of the Millennium’ and how, through his remarkable skills, companionship and unstinting devotion, he gave Allen Parton a reason to live again.

Here's one I wrote earlier

Here’s One I Wrote Earlier...
by Peter Purves

Memories of his TV and theatrical career are explored in Here’s One I Wrote Earlier... but it is Peter’s memoirs of Crufts and his association with the dog world in general that OUR DOGS’ readers will no doubt be keen to read. Peter first started presenting Crufts Dog Show for the BBC in 1978, after an initial one-off appearance in 1976. He continued to be presenter and commentator up until last year when the BBC announced that it will no longer be covering the legendary dog show.

WHY NOT SUBSCRIBE TO OUR DOGS.. IN PRINT AND ONLINE...

here’s what one reader recently said about the fantastic online version:

“I have subscribed to the online version of OD, I've just read it all.
The digital version looks great....just like the real thing, with page turning etc., I love it!!!!!
Just love it!!!! but then I'm a bit of a digi fan!!

10 years of breed notes...fantastic....a great way of keeping an eye on things; great for easy reference and archiving and it already stretches back nearly 10 years worth of breed notes and show reports.

I have to admit that I have never really been an Our Dogs fan, stemming back years,
I never liked the layout, the type and generally found it a lacklustre paper to read,
so haven't even bothered to look at it for at least 10 years!!!

Shame on me!!

I have had full exposure to the way Our Dogs works and how it's presented
both on the web and in print and I for one will certainly be supporting them from now on............
people need to look at what they are doing nowadays.”
