BIS Kortrijk 2005 was Farezi-Mazaolo Am-Z from Italy’s Shih-Tzu,
Ch.
Seven Days-Of-Love Taihe Dian.
The show attracted an entry
of 2606 dogs which is an increase of 6%
compared to last year.
There were 117 dogs from the UK entered.
Best in Show judge was Mrs Ferelith Somerfield (left)

Our Dogs in Europe
The last few years has seen a dramatic change in the way we view dogs and exhibitors from outside the UK.
From the time a Norwegian Standard Poodle won Crufts in 2002, the writing was on the wall. CH Topscore Contradiction was just that…he had beaten the Brits on their home turf. It was like Chelsea losing at home to Art Media Bratislava!
In those early years, only a handful of exhibitors from overseas showed at Crufts; this year it was over 700 and in 2006 no doubt that number will be higher.
Everywhere we take the OUR DOGS stand in Europe or the USA, we hear, ‘I would love to show my dog at Crufts!’
What OUR DOGS has managed to do in that time is maintain its personality based on 110 years of coverage of the British dog show scene and yet grow into the most Euro aware paper in the world.

Showsurance
Showsurance was launched in 1981 and has some of the UK's most
prestigious shows as clients. They include Leeds, Welsh Kennel Club,
Bournemouth, South Wales, Paignton and Southern Counties among others
along with many smaller general societies, breed clubs and training
clubs.
It was created in association with Lloyds underwriters by David
Paton, then secretary of the Afghan Hound Association and David Cavill,
then show manager of Southern Counties so it really understands what
canine societies need as far as insurance is concerned.
