York, NY - The Outdoor Life Network (OLN) will be airing six
American Kennel Club performance events in January and February
of 2003. These events are sanctioned by the AKC and demonstrate
the natural ability of dogs in the field.
"AKC
performance events demonstrate what purebred dogs were bred
to do more than any other activity," commented Bill Speck,
AKC Assistant Vice President of Performance Events.
"These dogs are amazing workers that are competing at
the championship level and it makes for very exciting television."
The
Outdoor Life Network has been airing AKC performance events
since 1998. This long-standing relationship has proven successful
for both partners.
The
event air dates and times are as follows:

The 2002 AKC Pointing Breed Gun Dog Championship

The 2002 AKC Small Pack Option National Beagle Championship

January 16, 2003- 3:30 p.m. and January 26, 2003 7:30 a.m.
The 2002 AKC Master National Retriever Hunt

January 23, 2003- 3:30 p.m. and February 2, 2003 7:30 a.m.
The 2002 AKC National Lure Coursing Championship

January 30, 2003- 3:30 p.m. and February 9, 2003 7:30 a.m.
The 2002 AKC German Shorthaired Pointer Club

February 6, 2003- 3:30 p.m. and February 16, 2003 7:30 a.m.
The 2002 AKC National Open Retriever Championship
