AHT to hold breed council open days
THE ANIMAL Health Trust is to hold a series of Open Days for Breed Council and Society secretaries, at which some of its senior scientists and veterinarians will be available to discuss current canine health issues.
The Open Days, which are free of charge, will involve a tour of the AHT - including the clinical and research facilities not usually open to visitors. The days will also include a series of talks and discussion sessions focussing mainly upon genetically inherited conditions.
The Animal Health Trust is leading the international programme to eradicate inherited diseases in dogs through the development of genetic tests. It has also recently signed a joint agreement with The Kennel Club to accelerate the programme of research into such diseases.
The Open Days will take place on July 4, September 12, October 10 & 31. Further information is available from Simon Tarlton at the AHT on 01638 751000.
