Wood Green Animal Shelters are preparing to host the annual conference for the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes on 15th October at its Kings Bush Farm site in Cambridgeshire.
The conference held each year at various locations across Great Britain will involve not only important figures from all of the national cat and dog organisations, but their staff and other interested people also to meet to discuss important issues in the field of animal welfare.
This years conference which is set to be the biggest yet, is focusing on Working Together and will feature various speakers from across the country representing a wide range of fields.
They include inspirational speaker Bear Grylls and from the world of animals Graham Thurlow, Gwen Bailey, Helen McCain, Chris Laurence and Bradley Viner.
Wood Green Animal Shelters which has its Headquarters based in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire is proud to be hosting this event.
Dennis Baker OBE, Chief Executive of Wood Green said "The Association of Cats and Dogs Homes grows year by year and is now made up of 38 member charities from all over Great Britain and Ireland. We have a lot to learn from one another and to get over 300 representatives from all these charities in one place to discuss significant animal welfare issues is quite an achievement."
The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes was founded in 1985 to bring together dog and cat welfare organisations, and acts as a platform for identifying and disseminating information on best practice and for raising the standards of animal welfare. The members comprise charities of all sizes situated throughout England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the Channel Islands.
