Alisa Caisley and Ali Packham, accompanied by their rescue lurchers Otis and Meg, will be walking the South Downs Way at the end of April to raise money for 3 animal rescues:
Mid Sussex Happy Breed Dog Rescue Society
Greyhound Rescue West of England
The South Downs Way is 101 miles long stretching from Winchester, Hampshire to Eastbourne, East Sussex. They aim to complete the Way in 8 days, walking an average of 12 ½ miles per day. That might not seem very far, but the South Downs are rather hilly!!
Here's Otis pausing to admire the view during yesterday's training session, while the humans paused to get their breath back!
To find out more about the route and the chosen charities, and to follow the daily progress, click this link: South Downs Way Sponsored Walk
All funds raised will be split equally among the 3 charities.
Please wish them luck, and hope that the southern distributors of Kendall Mint Cake are able to keep up with their outrageous demands upon supplies!
