MANY HAPPY returns of the day to Richard Allan, who celebrated his 30th birthday on Monday December 6th.
Richard, who is well known on the show scene as co-owner and handler of this year’s top terrier, the WFT Ch Travella Smart Design, began his show career as a junior handler, qualifying for the finals on three occasions.
He won his first CC under the late Drys Thomas at the last Leicester Ch Show with the Welsh Terrier Ch Purston Great Expectations, and has over the years handled five different terrier breeds to group wins, achieving a total of 20 group wins with eight different dogs. He also has four championship BIS wins and six RBIS wins to his credit.
Richard says he has had an amazing 2004, particularly having the privilege of handling Smart Design, and looks forward hopefully to having the opportunity of handling more good quality dogs. He would like to thank all the ‘owners and friends who have trusted me with their dogs and the many people who have helped me along the way, together with the judges who have thought so highly of the dogs I have shown and especially my partner Diane and my gorgeous daughter Rebecca’.
Happy birthday Richard from all your friends.
