Southern Counties committee is delighted that all entry fees will remain at last year’s levels when the first entry was to £18. As always, entry to the show and car parking for exhibitors and those travelling with them is free. Caravans are also welcome and again, there is no increase in fees in 2005.
As last year, entries can be made ‘on line’. It is very easy for anyone with access to the Internet and there is no extra charge for this service. Not only does it save postage costs it also ensures that exhibitors have an immediate confirmation of their entry. Just go to www.dog.biz and click on Southern Counties. Once you have registered you will be able to enter shows much more quickly as all your details and those of your dogs are retained on the secure server, you do not have to enter everything again next time.
The show will also be a Mecca for Juniors. As well as the usual formal classes for the Young Kennel Club and Good Citizen tests, the YKC is holding a rally over the three days. Donelda Guy, the Eurodogshow Heelwork to Music champion will be holding introductory classes on the Friday and UK Handlers will be holding their annual Handling competitions on the Saturday and Sunday with the usual Dinner and Dance on the Saturday night. You can get full details from the schedule at www.dog.biz. If you have time there is also a Companion Dog Show on all three days!
Security will be tightened this year. Our experiment with a lighter regulatory touch was not the success we hoped so passes will be carefully checked at both entrances to the showground.
Our usual advert with full details of classes and an entry form will be appearing in the dog press on March 25th so you do not need to send for a schedule.
If you would like a schedule, one can be downloaded from www.dog.biz or you can order one by e-mailing scca@angelacavill.co.uk. But don’t forget that if you can e-mail you can just as easily enter ‘on-line at www.dog.biz Schedules are also available by post from the Secretary, Angela Cavill, Langham House, Ham Common, Richmond upon Thames, Surrey, TW10 9JB or by telephone by ringing 07905-162190
