Gundog experts from across the UK will be coming to Gloucestershire next month to speak at the third National Gundog Conference.
The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) event will take place at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester on Sunday 26th February 2006.
There will be talks on a number of subjects including first aid in the field, tail-docking, canine health and training methods. A police officer will also be speaking on how his team trains spaniels for police work.
The inclusive conference fee of £30 includes morning coffee, a two course Sunday carvery lunch and afternoon tea.
BASC’s National Gundog Co-ordinator Sheila Gussey said "This is a fantastic event for anyone who is interested in gundogs, which play such a vital role in shooting. The speakers we have lined up for this year’s event will make the day both informative and entertaining."
The event is being sponsored by Dodson and Horrell and Marsh Insurance.
Places can be booked by sending a cheque for £30 to BASC, Smokey Bottom Lodge, Staple Fitzpaine, Taunton, Somerset, TA3 5BL. Telephone: 01823 480903.
