Some young visitors to the GDBA's 75th anniversary Gala Day enjoy a spot of face painting - then meet some Guide Dogs in the GDBA's 'Pups Club' Play Zone (Photo: GDBA)
The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association held their 75th Anniversary Gala Day at Moreton Morrell College near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire recently and they couldn’t have hoped for a better day.
Temperatures soared to around 33oC during the afternoon, but there were plenty of water bowls for the hundreds of dogs in attendance and a ready supply of beer and other beverages for their owners and visitors in the refreshment tent!
Neil Ewart, Breeder Manager of GDBA, who skilfully masterminded the whole event said he was ‘delighted’ at the turnout and was pleased that everybody had a good time enjoying meeting the dogs and browsing round the stalls and special events staged at the Gala.
There was plenty of food laid on too, whether you fancied home made cakes or hog roast. One thing was for sure though – there were plenty of hot dogs to be found!
A full photo-report of the GDBA Gala Day will appear in next week’s OUR DOGS.
