The late Ch Stormy Romance with Chaanrose, handled by her owner Dawn Ferguson,
sailing over the jumps on the day she gained her CDex working qualification
The Dobermann bitch, Ch Stormy Romance with Chaanrose CDex, has died a few months short of her fourteenth birthday writes Rosie Lane.
Owned by Dawn Ferguson (nee Bell), 'Cagney' won BIS at Border Union ch show in 1995 under the late pioneer of the breed, Lionel Hamilton-Renwick, and is believed to be only the second Dobermann bitch in history to have won BIS at an all-breeds ch show in the UK.
By Ch Jowendy's Kilowatt ex Ch Chaanrose Elegantiae at Merryn, Cagney was bred by Rosie Lane and Jo Gibbs and handled in the show ring by Rosie to four CCs, all with BOB. Cagney was Top Dobermann in 1995.
Importantly, she showed a great aptitude for working and her owner's training efforts were suitably rewarded when Cagney gained her CDex working qualification once her show career ended at the age of just three years.
