AS WE go to press, we have learned from the Kennel Club that Mr Norman Ziman has decided to retire from its General Committee after some 20 years service.
Norman was first elected to the Committee in 1987. He has served on various Sub-Committees and latterly as Chairman of the Club Committee and as a member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee. He has decided to stand down due to pressures of business.
Ronnie Irving, Chairman of the Kennel Club, told OUR DOGS, "We are sorry to be losing Norman from the General Committee. The combination of his legal skills, knowledge of the world of dogs and clear thinking, has been of great help over the years. I am very happy to report that Norman has agreed to stay on as a Member of the Finance & General Purposes Committee and I am sure that the General Committee will welcome his continuing contribution to the future strategy of the Club through his involvement there."
The Kennel Club also announces the appointment of Mr Mike Townsend as a Kennel Club Trustee.
