The Kennel Club judges development programme
Are you a judge and keen to enhance your knowledge about the Basenji, the Boxer, the Boston Terrier and other breeds that are part of the Judges Development Programme Schedule for Winter 2008?
If the answer is yes then nine seminars are being run between 10th November and 10th December this year, as part of the Kennel Club’s commitment to ensuring that judges have the most up-to-date information about their breeds.
The programme is an excellent opportunity for judges to enhance their knowledge of the scheduled breeds and to benefit from the wealth of knowledge that the breed experts will be there to share. Judges wishing to attend a JDP Breed Seminar must have: * Previously awarded CCs to at least three breeds within the relevant Group (i.e. the same group as the host Group) or * Been previously approved by the Kennel Club to Judge a Group at Championship Show level or * Been previously approved by the Kennel Club to Judge Best in Show at Championship Show level.
The schedule for the selected breeds is as follows: Utility Group. Two seminars will be held at the Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire CV8 2LZ. Monday 10th November 2008 – the French Bulldog, Tuesday 11th November 2008 – the Boston Terrier. Hound Group. Two seminars will be held at the Canine Academy, Tollerton, Northamptonshire. The breeds being presented are: Tuesday 11th November 2008 – the Basenji, Wednesday 12th November 2008 – the Pharaoh Hound. Working Group. One seminar will be held at the Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire CV8 2LZ. The breed being presented on Wednesday 12th November 2008 is the Boxer. Terrier Group. Two seminars will be held at the Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire CV8 2LZ. The breeds being presented are: Monday 1st December 2008 – the Parson Russell Terrier, Tuesday 2nd December 2008 – the Cesky Terrier. Gundog Group. Two seminars will be held at the Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire CV8 2LZ. The breeds being presented are: Tuesday 9th December 2008 – the Italian Spinone, Wednesday 10th December 2008 – the Weimaraner.
