The Midland Counties Norfolk Terrier Association Championship and Open Shows were held at Cottage Farm, Carlton-in-Lindrick, Nottinghamshire on Saturday 10th October. In order for the show to take place the Association not only had to follow government guidelines regarding Covid 19 but also had to get their plans approved by the Police, Local Council and the Kennel Club.

Best in Show Watercroft Crafty Tipple
Strict instructions were issued to all attendees of the show in advance focusing particularly but not exclusively on social distancing, wearing of masks or face coverings and requirements for regular hand cleaning. In addition to this entry and exit to the ring was only permitted after the exhibitor had cleaned their hands with gel provided. The judges were required to wash their hands after handling the dogs and the table was also cleaned; exhibitors had to show their dogs teeth to the judges.

They were rewarded with good weather and a set of very appreciative exhibitors. Championship Show Judge Mr Max King awarded Best in Show to Ruth Gee's bitch Watercroft Crafty Tipple and Open Show Judge Mrs Rachel Barney also appreciated the attributes of this young bitch by awarding her the same title.
