|Millie raises cash for rescue
A thirteen year old girl used her initiative to raise over £150 for Bulldog rescue.
Millie Stephenson organised a fundraising event in order to raise awareness about bulldog rescue and rehoming. She told OUR DOGS, 'I wanted to help Bulldogs around England and get them rehomed.
I wrote a letter to companies and businesses to get prizes. Tickets were sold for one pound each. We had a bake sale, a lucky dip for children, guess how many sweets in the jar, a tombola and a name the bulldog competition with a toy bulldog. We raised £151.33.'
Millie helps to look after the three bulldogs owned by her mother Laura. They are regulars on the show scene. She continued, 'It is upsetting that people think Bulldogs are bad dogs. Most of them are healthy. People should support the good work of rescues so that they can find out more about them.'
