At Bath Championship show, a new breed record holder in Leonbergers was
declared.
Lee Studholme and Kerry Rushby’s Leonberger, Ch Corleone Navigator at Kalizmar (Import Canada) claimed his 30th CC under Finnish judge, Mr Jussi Liimatainen.
Born in Canada, bred by Lucie Perron, Neville arrived in the UK as a puppy in late 2020. At his first show, Southern Counties 2021, he was Best Puppy and Puppy Group 2. His first CC was won at SKC in May 2022 under Rodney Oldham (Towmena), and his crown came under top breed specialist and doyen of the breed, John Feehan (Manorguard). Throughout 2022 and 2023 he picked up CCs and RCCs, with his first group one win at Welsh KC in 2023 under Sigurd Wilberg (Kanix).
At Manchester 2024, Neville made breed history by becoming the first Leonberger to win Reserve Best in Show all breeds under David Killilea (Redwitch). A few weeks later, Neville made history again at Crufts where he  became the first Leonberger to win the group at Crufts under Paul Harding (Pringhams).
To date, Neville has won 30 CCs, 28 with Best of Breed, four Group 1 all breeds, a best in show specialty winner, and multiple group placings. He was also Top Leonberger UK in 2022, 2023 and he is currently top working dog in 2024. In April he made it down to the final 8 of the prestigious Contest of Champions competition.
The previous breed record holder was Racquel Walker’s homebred male, Ch Nor Ch Condalf Baldur, winner of 29 CCs.
