| Westminster 2022 rescheduled for January

The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc with dog-show schedules, and Westminster is no exception.
The nation's most high-profile show is normally held each February in Manhattan. The 2021 show has already been postponed to June 11 to 13 at the historic Lyndhurst mansion in Tarrytown, New York. (The catalogue advertising deadline for that summer show is coming up on April 17).
Now comes the announcement that Westminster's 2022 show, as well as its Masters Agility Championship, will be coming back to Manhattan, but a month earlier than usual. Next year's conformation show will be held over three days, from January 24 to 26, with the Masters Agility Championship preceding the show on January 22 at a pending location. Group and Best in Show judging will be held at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, January 25, and Wednesday, January 26, a shift from the usual Monday and Tuesday scheduling.
