Winning In Motion Two episodes included - 128 minutes. Originally broadcast live on August 2nd and October 16th, 2016.

In part one, we cover various canine gaits and teaching dogs to gait properly, including troubleshooting common problems. We also cover how handlers should move and correct footwork.

In part two, we stage a mock dog show and walk though presentation and procedure, from standing outside the ring to presenting and moving your dog. Strategies and tricks for getting the best out of your dog are also covered.

This is the third in our "Demand To Win" series of show training films. "Killer Free Stacks" and "Stack and Deliver" cover presentation, free stacking, and hand stacking, and "Winning in Motion" covers recognizing correct gait and training puppies and dogs to gait correctly in the ring. Each film stands alone and may be watched separately. But for the ultimate show training education we recommend all three videos together with Attention is the Mother of All behaviors.

STACK AND DELIVER

STACK AND DELIVER

Are you making a good case for your dog in the show ring?

Every time you walk into the ring, you’re entering into a silent dialogue with the judge and telling him or her why you think that judge should put your dog up. The way you train and present your dog is making a case for your dog to win - Stack and Deliver shows you how to present the best case possible!

Two episodes included - 125 minutes. Originally broadcast live on July 6th and July 12th 2016.

In this film, we build on the lessons begun with our young puppies in Killer Free Stacks and demonstrate how to teach older puppies or adult dogs stacks that are correct and exude that undeniable confidence that will stand out in the show ring. You’ll learn about basic canine structure and how to recognize virtues and faults in your dog, and how to best present the dog you have.

In part one, we continue our free stack work and talk about canine structure, reading the ring so you get the best stack, and presenting fronts.

In part two, we delve into proper bait handling and common handling mistakes that can throw dogs off balance, and then move on to teaching young dogs hand stacking and the pros and cons of different methods. We also share techniques for building focus and confidence in young or inexperienced dogs.

A STOCKMAN'S EYE - Featuring Patricia Sutton

A STOCKMAN'S EYE - Featuring Patricia Sutton

Whether your interest lies in a canine or equine discipline, this DVD is a must have.

‘Perspective’ is not something that we always get enough of in the world of pedigree show dogs and this is especially true for those of us who put most of our efforts into one breed that becomes our all-consuming passion. Against this background it was a special privilege to travel to Surrey last Sunday to hear Pat Sutton give us her stockman’s view on conformation and movement. Pat has so many different experiences to draw upon and this is really what makes the day so extraordinary. She may come from one of the most famous ‘show dog’ families of all time but aside from all her experience in the exhibition of pedigree dogs, she is a horsewoman of considerable note and she still runs a large livery yard. In addition, she has an interest in a wide range of country pursuits, most notably as the first civilian Master of Britain’s oldest drag hunt, the Staff College and Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, a society which now benefits from her chairmanship. Pat is not short of perspective and she was certainly happy to share this in an engaging and interactive session at her home, helped by a large range of equine and canine exhibits.

Tim Hutchings: "If anyone ended the day not knowing a lot more about basic construction in general and forehand conformation in particular then I would be amazed. It was a masterclass in movement and construction, delivered in an accessible manner by someone who clearly knows her subject inside out. Not having attended the first couple of these, I was worried that I had missed my opportunity. Having been to one, I certainly won’t miss out on any that are held in the future and neither should you.
